We had our first USAPL Vegas Qualifier Tournament this past weekend with 8 ball. Congratulations to the winning team heading to Vegas this September: Lady & the Champs!
This coming Saturday 05/22/21 will be our 9 Ball VQT, starting at noon. Door will open at 11 AM. The participating teams are: Shot for Shot, Tuff Break, Chalk is Cheap, and Night Moves. Good luck to all the teams! If you have a chance, come out and support the players!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Updates for Week 2 have been completed. Congrats to Alan H for winning 8 & 9 TR patches! Please also welcome our two newest members: Olivia V and Sean S! Rosters are filling up quickly with 7 teams at this time, and we’re excited to have new members on board!
Reminder about masking up during league play: Please wear your masks at all times unless you’re actively eating or drinking. As an establishment, Slicks is still enforcing the mask wearing rule so please be courteous and abide by their request. To meet in the middle and compromise, if you are playing a match and your opponent is fine with not wearing a mask during play, then you do not have to wear one during your match – as long as both parties are in agreeance. Otherwise, please keep masks on.
This coming Saturday 05/15/21 will be the first Vegas Qualifier Tournament for H-Town Central! The 4 qualifying 8 ball teams will be playing double elimination to find out who wins the trip to Vegas. The 4 teams are: Shot for Shot, Tuff Break, Lady & Champs, and Night Moves. Feel free to come out and support them! Stop by throughout the day and see how they’re doing. The 8 Ball VQT starts at NOON. Doors open at 11 AM. Best of luck to all the participating teams!

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! This new session is off to a great start! Let’s welcome some new members and some returning ones! Glad you are joining us this session: Alan H, Mike C, James R, Angela S, Will B, Richard G, Nick K, Alice K, and Joshua R!
With these new faces, we are able to bring on another team, which means we now have 7 teams total. This also means that each team will have upcoming bye weeks. TEAM CAPTAINS – Please keep an eye out on the schedule to see when your team will be on a BYE week! Speaking of team captains, we still have spots to fill for anyone interested. Team captains get bonus perks nearly every session, so do consider becoming one!
As BYE weeks play a part in total points earned per team, this is how bye weeks will be calculated: At the end of the session, however many total points the team earned will be divided by the actual weeks played, creating an average score which will then be added to however many bye weeks the team has. Each team will have average points for 8 ball and 9 ball separately, depending on how your team did throughout the whole session per discipline.

Bonus points and assigned tables will begin WEEK 3. This allows a couple of weeks for new team members and captains to get acclimated to the system. Reminder, bonus points are awarded as follows: 50 points for league dues paid at end of league night + 50 points for matching scoresheets with opponent’s = 100 total possible bonus points earned.

All right everyone, the update you’ve all been waiting for! Scores have been entered and standings are set for Spring 2021. Congrats to Lady & the Champs for winning both 8 and 9 Ball! They will automatically be entered into the Vegas Qualifier Tournament for 2022.
Next Tuesday 04/27 will be the playoff week. 2nd & 3rd place teams will be playing for the second spot in the 2022 VQT. Teams placed 4th and under will have a week off. For 8 Ball – playoff will be Break & Juan vs Shot for Shot. For 9 Ball – playoff will be Chalk is Cheap vs Shot for Shot. Congrats to those teams for making into the playoffs, and best of luck to them next Tuesday!
Congrats to the lone patch winner yesterday: Nick M for 8 TR! Patches will be handed out next week for those who are in attendance. Otherwise, they will be handed out the first week of Summer Session on 05/04.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Apologies for the delay in updates. We have been moving this whole week, so things have been very hectic. We got the computer setup where it needs to be today, so without further ado, let’s get to the updates. Last week of Spring session is this coming Tuesday 4/20! The following Tuesday 4/27 will be the playoff week between 2nd and 3rd place teams. First place team will automatically qualify for 2022 VQT.
Summer Session begins the first Tuesday of May on 5/4! Spread the word! We hope to have more teams and new faces in the crowd, so bring friends and help promote! We will have a new player meeting for any new members without a Fargo Rating on Friday 4/23 at 9 PM on Table 9. Get a chance to meet the League Op and for him to find out where best to place on the Fargo scale. Need a team? We’ll help find you one!
